The Region is perfectly situated between the economic hubs of Tangier, Nador, Kenitra and Casablanca, making it a notorious geo-strategic hub in terms of demographic flows and economic trade corridors.

The Region has a highly qualified human capital thanks to its 5 universities, which rank it as the first university pole in Morocco with 266 vocational training institutions, its distinguished engineering schools (ENSAM, ENSAF, ESI2A, INSA), etc.

The Region has a road and highway network representing more than 20% of the national network, a railway infrastructure linking it to major ports and cities of the Kingdom, as well as "Fez - Saiss" international airport with a capacity of 3 million passengers/year.

The Region has many natural sites : mineral springs, thermal spas, national parks of Ifrane and Tazekka, Friouato caves, mountains of Michlifen and Bouiblane in Taza, forest and herbaceous cover of more than 1,2 million ha (14% of the national forest park), etc.
