Signing of the investment agreement with the Chinese group SUNRISE

A new era for the textile industry in the Fez-Meknes region with the establishment of the Chinese group Sunrise, a global leader in the textile sector.

The Head of Government presided over the signing ceremony in Rabat of the investment agreement between Morocco and the Chinese group Sunrise, for an investment of 2.3 billion dirhams.

The establishment of Sunrise through two industrial units in Fez and Skhirates will create more than 8,500 jobs, including 7,000 direct jobs (including 3,600 in Fez) and will promote the development of an integrated textile supply chain. Ultimately, this will strengthen the local supply of yarn, fabrics, and clothing products to Moroccan companies, while reducing logistics costs and lead times. Moroccan companies will thus be able to respond more efficiently to international orders, strengthening their competitiveness in the global market. This agreement marks a major turning point in the textile sector, particularly for the Fez-Meknes region, which is positioning itself in the textile and leather ecosystem.
