Description
Through the Agricultural Development Fund (ADF), the State has raised nearly two billion dirhams (BMAD) in subsidies for agricultural mechanization over the past three years. The objective is to increase the agricultural mechanization index from 0.4 CV/ha to 1 CV/ha in the medium term, in accordance with the best international standards and in line with the objectives of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The new system of granting state aid, which targets the support of the Green Morocco Plan (PMV), aims to support private investment, the development of sustainable agriculture, the achievement of equity in the distribution of aid and the optimal allocation of financial resources of the ADF.

Subsidy rate:
- Production of selected purebred breeding stock (cattle): MAD 4,000 to MAD 5,000/head;
- Production of selected purebred breeding stock (sheep): MAD 700 to MAD 850/head;
- Calves from industrial crossbreeding for a 5-year period as of May 1, 2009 (cattle) MAD 4,000/head;
- Purchasing breeding stock and heifers (goats, camels) 30 to 35%;
Imported heifers: MAD 4 000/head; - Production of selected reproductive bee “queens”: MAD 250 to MAD 300/ “queen” hive;
- Marketing of certified cereal seeds Differential of (MAD 50/Ql);
- Marketing of sugar beet mono-germ seeds MAD 700 per unit (1 unit = 100 000 mono-germ seeds);
- Establishment of new sugar cane plantations MAD 6 000/ha;
- Establishment of new fruit tree plantations (citrus, palm, olive) MMAD 3 500 to MMAD 28 000 /ha;
- Installation of new fruit tree plantations (date palms, rosacea, argan trees, others…) 70 to 100% of the plan purchasing price;
Laboratory tests 50%; - Citrus exports (land and sea transport): MAD 200 to MAD 500/T;
- Tomato export (land and sea transport): MAD 750/T;
- Export of strawberries (land and sea transport): MAD 500/T;
- Exports, of fruits, vegetables, cut flowers and ornamental plants (air transport): MAD 1 or MAD 4.5/T.
