  • Reduction of carbon emissions : Fez-Meknes RIC launches a survey

After launching a call for expressions of interest (CEI) for technical and financial support to VSMEs in reducing carbon emissions last April, the Regional Investment Center (CRI) Fez-Meknes is seeking to encourage regional companies in this regard. Therefore, It has recently launched a survey targeting the region’s industrial companies, as part of its efforts to support these units in their low-carbon transition. Objective: Determine energy consumption in order to better support them in their carbon-free process.

According to the Director General of the RIC, Yassine Tazi, this initiative falls in line with the partnership between the RIC and the Moroccan Agency for Energy Efficiency (MAEE), concerning the support of these companies towards a low-carbon industry, in particular through conducting energy and environmental audits and the implementation of an energy management system.

In a statement to MAP, the DG of the RIC further adds that it is also part of the implementation of the national policy on green economy and TATWIR program “green growth”, initiated by the Ministry of Industry, Trade, Green Economy and Digital and deployed through Morocco SME and the MAEE.
